TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Description
The individual's primary duty is to provide phone and email support for high-end / Business Class Networking hardware and peripherals including, routers, managed switches and high volume iSCSI storage. This is not a Help Desk position. This position provides support for Corporate IT Departments and end users for the products that D-Link Systems manufactures.
A componet of managed - switch support consists of assisting customers to configure products using VLAN, LAG and routing functionality
Provide technical support for end-users escalated to level 3
Requirements
1-2 years experience with Networking Hardware support and set-up
Associate Degree in IT Networking or equivalent knowledge a plus
Experience with OSI Layers, IP address schemes, Windows 2K, XP,
Interest in Linux Desktop and Server use is ideal
Actual experience configuring managed switches and Business Class Firewalls / Routers preferred
